Celine Yousefzadeh on Holding Fashion Shows to Fundraise for Students in Areas of Conflict

In 2008, Celine Yousefzadeh co-founded Fashion with Compassion with an aim to raise money for the Israeli city of Sderot. What began as a one-off fashion show at her high school in Los Angeles has turned into a model for philanthropy and activism. Celine is mobilizing students across the country (and soon, in London) to hold fashion shows that raise money for charities based in Israel. She’s the recent recipient of the $36,000 Diller Teen Tikkun Olam Award from the Helen Diller Family Foundation, and will use that money to expand Fashion with Compassion.
